The celebration of the 10th anniversary of the National Administration of Conservation Areas (ANAC) this Tuesday, May 25, 2021, takes place at a time when the commemorative week of Biological Diversity is also celebrated, having been celebrated on May 22, the International Day for Biological Diversity was proclaimed by the United Nations, as well as the 50th anniversary of the Bazaruto Archipelago National Park.

Conservation areas and elephant prevention in Mozambique support

The Ministry of Land, Environment and Rural Development (MITADER) and the Biodiversity Conservation Foundation (Biofund) will receive from the French Development Agency (AFD) a funding of six million Euros, destined to protected areas strengthening and management activities and wildlife protection, especially of elephants in Mozambique.

Government and farms cooperate in the transfrontier conservation areas’ management

The Government of the Republic of Mozambique, through the Ministry of Land, Environment and Rural Development and the Licoturismo Association, on the 22nd of February 2017, 10 o’clock, in the Southern Sun Hotel, in Maputoi, will sign a Memorandum of Understanding in the scope of the management and conservation of the Great Limpopo transfrontier area.

MozBio finances honey production in Chimanimani

The Conservation Areas for Biodiversity and Development Project (MozBio) is financing community projects destined to mass produce honey, to supply the local and national markets and to increase income for the families living near the Chimanimani National Reserve, located in the central Province of Manica.
