Since 17th of July a total of 1524 animals of different species have been relocated to Maputo Special Reserve (REM), namely 450 impalas, 281 zebras, 131 gnus (wildebeests), 50 kudos, 251 nyalas and 361 waterbucks.

The Government of Mozambique is preparing a Proposal for Regulation for Law nr. 5/2017 of May 11th, the Protection, Conservation and Sustainable Use of Biologic Diversity, and the Hunting Regulation Proposal.

With attention to the relevance of the legal instrument and as a means of submitting it to the public participation process, all interested parts are invited to participate in a public hearing meeting with the objective of presenting the content of the Proposal for Regulation and obtain the audience’s contributions in order to finalize the document.

The Public Hearing Meeting will take place in August 31st 2017, at the Montebelo Indy Congress Hotel, scheduled to begin at 8 o’clock in the morning.

The Proposals for Regulation the public hearing is about, which is subject to alterations, are available below for commentary until 30 days counting from the date of publication of this notice.
